Our innovative project takes students from schools across Vancouver Island, British Columbia, on a captivating journey of creativity and technology. Through interactive workshops, students delve into the world of Jean Paul Riopelle, finding inspiration in his artistry centered around nature, Indigeneity, and migration. Armed with descriptive language and guided by artificial intelligence (AI), the students create their own masterpieces, paying homage to Riopelle's legacy.

The culmination of their artistic exploration was showcased in a remarkable outdoor art exhibit at the awe-inspiring Malahat Skywalk, a treewalk perched 600 meters high. Large-scale images of the students' Riopelle-inspired works will be seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the artistic splendor.

As visitors stroll through the exhibit, they will not only experience the beauty of the students' creations but also learn about the life and influence of Jean Paul Riopelle. Our workshops have empowered participants to harness AI techniques like Midjourney and prompt engineering, enabling them to break down images into prompts and bring their artistic visions to life.
